BOYS TRAVEL BASKETBALL
Grades
The Westminster Boys Travel Basketball program is for boys in grades 4th through 8th. Boys will tryout for the team that corresponds to their current school grade as of September 1, 2025.
The 7th and 8th grade teams will be students who attend East Middle and West Middle. We still have one 8th grade team that can have students from other middle schools but this will be the last year that will be an option.
We have an option to fill 6th grade for the Mid-Maryland League for both East and West, but right now that has not happened.
Tryouts for 2025-26
Tryouts for the Westminster Travel Boys basketball teams for grades 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will take place at Winters Mill.
Sundays: September 28, October 5, and October 12, 2025.
- 6th grade 10am- 12pm (Main)
- 5th grade 12pm - 2pm (Main)
- 4th grade 12pm - 2pm (Aux)
- 7th grade 2pm - 3:30pm (Main)
- 8th grade 3:30pm - 5pm (Main)
Registration Costs per Family
$340.00 for one player (100.00 more for a new uniform) $440.00
$440.00 for two players (200.00 for a new uniform) $640.00
$540.00 for three or more players (300.00 for a new uniform) $840.00
If your uniform from last year is still good, and you make the team you do not need to buy a new uniform.
Teams playing in the Mid Maryland League will also have a separate officials charge. This amount will be based on the number of players divided by 9 home games and official fees of at least $110.00 a game.
*Uniform fees are separate charges and will be collected as part of the registration process. ($100.00 per uniform)
Additional Information
- All players will receive a t-shirt and a practice jersey
- There will be a picture date, but it has not yet been decided
- Practice times will be scheduled when all gym time is allocated, you will have the same Sunday time as tryouts.
- All teams will get two practices times a week, or more if teams want to rent extra time.
- If you cannot make a practice on a day you must inform the coach and Bruce Woodyard.

PROGRAM REGISTRATION NOTICE – ONLY SELECTED PLAYERS SHOULD REGISTER
By entering this site to register, you acknowledge that your child has been selected to participate on a Westminster Boys Travel Basketball Team and you have received official notification from a Westminster Boys Travel program official. Any persons registering for Travel Basketball Programs that have not been officially selected will not be accepted and the fees processed will be refunded less a 20% service processing charge. Only Players officially notified for team selections are permitted to register for Westminster Boys Travel Basketball programs.
