Who

This summer program is for students transitioning from 7th grade GT Algebra I to 8th grade GT Algebra II.

What

During this readiness program, participants will revisit important Algebra I objectives to be sure that they can hit the ground running when they begin GT Algebra II in the 8th grade! Throughout the week we will review graphing linear and non-linear equations, finding the line of best fit, solving systems of equations, solving systems of inequalities, operations with matrices, operations with polynomials and factoring. We will also preview some of the most difficult objectives taught in the first and second quarter of GT Algebra II such as solving systems of three equations, multiplying matrices, linear programming, division of polynomials, complex numbers and more! Instructor, Gina Kline, has been a math teacher for Baltimore County Schools for the past 18 years. This is the 3rd year for this camp.

August 12 – 16, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Ridgely Middle School (located at 121 Ridgely Road, Lutherville, MD 21093)

Registration Cost

$100.00 per student

Please Note

Students may bring a snack and/or a drink. Students will need a spiral notebook or folder with loose leaf paper, pencils & pens. A minimum of 10 participants will be required to run the camp.

Refund Policy

There will be a $10.00 administrative fee deducted from any refund that is issued.
