Program Information

The Carroll Manor Rec Music Program is offered at TWO locations. Please read below and then select the appropriate location when registering:

Late School Openings/Closings and Closures

- If BCPS opens late due to weather, no morning class; if they close early due to weather, no PM class.
- If closed, no classes at all.
- Makeup lessons scheduled as time permits.

5TH DISTRICT ELEMENTARY

Program occurs from March 18, 2019 through the recital on May 23, 2019 (around 5:00 PM).

Classes Available

Mondays, 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM - Band 3/4/5
Tuesdays, 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM - Intermediate Violin

Class Descriptions

* Intermediate Violin: for students who have played at least one session from last year or have other experience
* Band 3/4/5: intermediate band instruction, grade 3-5 (continuation of previous class or with permission)

Cost per Class

$185 per class with Instrument Rental

$25 sax rental fee
($160 per class without Instrument Rental)

$5 late fee charged if registering after September 24, 2018.

Discounts Available

$10 savings per sibling (or second class per same student)

Late Fees

Any registration received after March 21, 2019 will be assessed a $5 late fee.

JACKSONVILLE ELEMENTARY

Program occurs from March 20, 2019 through the Recital on May 23, 2019 (around 5:00 PM).

Classes Available

Wednesdays, 8:10 AM to 9:00 AM - Wednesday Band
Wednesdays, 3:50 PM to 4:40 PM - Wednesday Violin
Thursdays, 8:10 AM to 9:00 AM - Thursday Violin 
Thursdays, 3:50 PM to 4:40 PM - Beginning Trumpet 1/2
Fridays, 8:10 AM to 9:00 AM - Advanced Orchestra 

Class Descriptions

* Wednesday Band - previous experience required, with permission
* Wednesday Violin - continuation of last session
* Thursday Violin - continuation of last session's "Friday Fiddles"
* Beginning Trumpet 1/2 - beginning trumpet for grades 1-2; no experience necessary
* Advanced Orchestra - previous experience required, with permission

Cost per Class

$185 per class with Instrument Rental
($160 per class without Instrument Rental)

$25 sax rental fee (separate fee)

Additional Information

* Instrument rental required (unless owned); books included.
* This is a performance-based program; home practice is required.
* No refunds after the third week.
