Our in-house season begins approximately March 15, 2022 and concludes at the end of June. Highlights of our season include an Opening Day Parade, end of the season picnic and All-Star games for the 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15 leagues.
Our younger age groups (ages 4-8) play a season of non-competitive baseball that focuses on teaching the fundamentals of baseball including basic baseball skills, rules and strategies along with good sportsmanship, appropriate behavior and attitude.
Our older age groups (ages 9-18) play a season of competitive baseball that builds on what is taught at the younger level while preparing them for a season ending playoff tournament.
The Manchester Baseball Association has set goals for each age group and during the year will teach the children the importance of sportsmanship, friendship, respect for officials and the opposite team, as well as their own team members.
- Our mission is to provide recreational baseball to the area kids. The program facilitates kids from ages 4-18 providing a safe and learning environment in the game of baseball.
- We strive to keep the spirit of the game an active tradition. We pursue the continued support through volunteers and value the communities support and contributions.
- We honor all levels of play and offer advancement, when age appropriate, to further the desire to play at a more competitive level.
- As a member of the North Carroll Recreation Council, it is our goal to continue in good faith with the By-Laws of such Council and the By-Laws of the Manchester Baseball Association. We stand for fairness, fundamentals and merriment.

For the upcoming season, ages will be calculated as of April 30, 2022. Based on your child's birth date, they will be eligible to register for one of the following available leagues:

All teams in the 4- & 5-6-year-old leagues are formed by the age group commissioner. Every attempt is made to honor special requests made on your registration form, but cannot be guaranteed.
All teams in 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15 leagues are formed during a draft in mid-March. Special requests cannot be honored in these age groups due to the nature of the team formations.
Updated Bat Rules
Manchester Baseball Association has determined we will not require the USABat Rules for the 2022 Season for In-House programs.
Fundraiser
Each child will be required to sell 6 raffle tickets at $5.00 a ticket. You will pay the $30.00 with your registration. Our main league fundraiser will begin with your child’s first practice. If you are registering three or more children in the in-house program you will only be responsible for buying raffle tickets for the first child.
HIT-A-THON
After our post-season party, we will hold our 7th annual HIT-A-THON sponsored. The HIT-A-THON will be open to boys and girls ages 4 and up. For a child to participate in the HIT-A-THON, they must get pledges. For more information on the HIT-A-THON, see the flyer on the website.

Travel League
Manchester Baseball offers travel teams (Blue Sox) in the following age groups: 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U. All players interested in trying out for a Manchester Baseball / Blue Sox Travel team must attend a tryout. Tryouts begin in July. Further information on the travel program is available on our website.
Uniforms
Each child participating in the program will receive a hat, shirt, pants and belt that they will keep.
In-House Registration Discounts
There will be a $15.00 discount for each additional sibling registered (after the first fully paid registration) for multiple participants in the In-House program only.
Fields
Manchester Baseball plays on public, private and school fields in the surrounding community. The fields are, Manchester Lions Park and Christmas Tree Park on Victory Street, Manchester Elementary School, Cape Horn Park, Manchester Valley High School and North Carroll High School.
