It pays to register early!  Early sign up helps us do everything more efficiently from team & league formation to scheduling, which ultimately provides a better experience for you and your children.  To show how much it means to us we offer generous discounts to your registration fees for signing your children up early per the table below.

Registration Requirements

  • As previously noted, no travel players are permitted.
  • All parents and coaches must agree to our Code of Conduct.

Practice Availability

Practices will begin on or around November 28th.  Siblings in the same age group will be placed on the same team; however, we will not accept requests to be assigned with coaches or other players.  Players must make a commitment to attend practices which are 1 night per week. Please note the following when considering availability:

  • Each team will practice 1 night per week and always on the same weeknight at the same time.
  • We are typically able to practice at Sandymount Elementary from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday through Friday. Each practice night is divided into three one-hour time slots.  We will also have limited practice time at Mechanicsville Elementary.
  • Kindergarteners and 1st graders will practice one weeknight from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.
  • 2nd-8th graders must select a minimum of 2 nights for practice availability, and we try to schedule the age groups so that older players practice in the time slots later in the evening to greatest extent possible.
  • Please provide as much availability as possible to support competitive teams.
  • A parent or adult guardian of K-5th graders must remain at practice.
  • Siblings of players must remain with adult and are prohibited from playing on the school stage or hallways.

2023 Evaluations

We strive for as much competitive balance between teams in each league as possible.  To that end we require that all players participate in one evaluation session during which coaches will be able to observe each player executing fundamental skills and playing in brief scrimmages.  Players are then assigned to a team based upon coaches notes, practice availability and other factors.

Two evaluation nights will be planned during the week of 11/12.  More information will be provided once the school year begins and we are able to schedule gym time on the specific date & time for evaluations.
