Clay Club with Mr. Briggs

The Prettyboy Arts Program offers students from K thru 5th grade the following Clay Club opportunities:

Session 3 Clay Club
- Students will be creating a unique and creative Harry Potter-inspired clay sculpture (i.e. trains, cars, dragons, magic, etc.).
- We will be working with slab, pinch, coil, and scoring techniques.
- Students can register to attend on either of the three days:

Tuesdays: February 20th and 27th, March 6th, 13th, and 20th, ; or
Wednesdays: February 21st and 28th, March 7th, 14th, and 21st; or
Thursdays: February 22nd, March 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd

Session 4 Clay Club
- Students will create their own Toy Story-inspired clay sculptures (i.e. Buzz, Woody, Slinky Dog, Little Green Alien Men, etc.).
- Students can register to attend on either of the three days:

Tuesdays: April 10th, 17th, 24th, May 8th, and 15th; or
Wednesdays: April 11th, 18th, 25th, May 9th, and 16th; or
Thursdays: April 12th, 19th, 25th, May 10th, and 17th

Both club sessions will be under the instruction of Prettyboy Elementary’s Mr. Jim Briggs. They will create a plan for their sculptures, plus build and paint them as well.

Classes are offered to kindergarten thru 5th graders, with a limit of 25 students per day (for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays). Select the day that fits your family the best! A minimum of 15 students are needed per day to have that day run. Registration will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Some Sessions have filled very quickly in the past! Don't delay!

*Note: This is the first year we are allowing Kindergarteners to sign-up for Clay Club, however, this is a 1-hour club that meets once a week in Mr. Briggs’ art room. Please evaluate the situation for your child and determine if it will work well for them. Having a friend and/or sibling join with them works the best. Thanks so much.

Cost: $50 per session/ per student (materials are included in the cost). The Session is 1 day a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) and is 5 weeks long, meeting from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Refund Policy

Any refund that is issued will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee.
