CMRC Girls Lacrosse – 2024 Spring Evaluations / GRAD YEAR TEAM OPTION

We will be holding evaluations for the Spring 2024 season. These evaluations will be used to inform our teams for the Spring as well as to play together in the Fall/Winter where applicable. Below are the age groups we will be leveraging again for next Spring.  Below you will find additional details regarding the evaluations:

Where: Sweet Air Park

Who/When:

• July 10th and July 17th --> 5:00pm to 7:00pm (each night)
• We are looking to make TWO teams for a combined grad year teams. We are anticipating a 2030/31 team AND a 2031/32 - plan to come to try out for your specific position (goalies too!).
• Coached by Danica MacMullan and Katie Reinke; independent evaluators will be present during evaluations.

NOTE - WE ASK THAT YOU ATTEND AT LEAST ONE SESSION. 

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How many evaluation dates do I need to attend?
A:  We would ask that your daughter attend at least one session if your schedule allows.  The more you attend the more we are able to evaluate your daughter's skill set.  Please be sure to contact us if you are unable to make any of the dates but still want the opportunity to be evaluated etc.  

Q: Do I need to come to these evaluations if my daughter is playing Rec in Spring of 2024?
A: No, you should only attend if you are interested in playing on a Grad Year team for an elevated rec experience, looking for a more competitive experience.  This is NOT a “Club” team, but it is more serious than “rec,” and is not for first year players.

Q: If I do NOT make a Grad year team, can I still play for CMRC in the Spring of 2024?
A: Of course!  We will have Rec teams as well next spring, and evaluations will be held in Feb/March of 2024.  Those who were not chosen for the grad year teams will be offered a spot on a rec team.

Q: What is the difference between Rec and Grad Year Teams?
A: It does come down to a difference of skill set as well as the commitment you are looking for.  But not all Grad Year teams are the same….even if they play in the same league/division.  Like Rec teams…..you will find a wide range of skill sets across many teams.  Before there were Grad Year and Club Teams…..there was an “A Division.”  They simply don’t offer that in MYLA, and often combine “A” and “B” teams within one division.  The National Girls Lacrosse League, played by many “club” and “rec affiliated club” teams has multiple divisions.  The commitment difference is the additional travel, fall/ winter practices or leagues, additional tournaments, and position specific coaching. Additional costs may be incurred if you play additional tournaments.  The goal is to keep the team playing together throughout the year on and off. We fully encourage multiple sport athletes and in season sports commitments are encouraged to be fulfilled.

Refund Policy

All refunds are subject to a $10 administrative fee to cover our costs.
